Not a lot has happened over the weekend ..ooooh ... other than having two compliments given to me in two different parts of my world.
The first came from another retail owner in the street. She asked me if I'd lost more weight because it's really showing. Infact the other compliment that came today from another ambulance officer said the same thing.
I said "Yes I have actually, thankyou for noticing". It's always hard to know how to respond to compliments like that, but I think I handled it well.
I remember someone telling me the first time round that people don't start commenting until you've lost around 15% of your start weight. It's very true. 15% for me is 18.4kgs lost ... so a little earlier than usual, but hey I'm not complaining!! Always makes one feel more motivated when others give positive feedback.

Nothing like some random comments for extra motivation. Funny how it's always hard to know how to respond - I "used to" respond by saying something like "but I still have so far to go" i've learnt a lot since those days and I take it for what it is - a well deserved compliment! Well done!
It's nice when people begin to notice but it also makes me a little uncomfortable. Your response was perfect. Gracious and short. I'll have to borrow it! :)
It's your new ambo gear mate. Your clothes are fitting heaps better and people will notice. Just don't leave too long before your downsize your clothes again.
I am so dreaming of the beach. To relax and just let the time slip by. To actually have time to do absolutely nothing. what a joy. Looking forward to catching up.

Ahhhh it is nice when people comment.. I had a couple this week also.. and I could see from the shock on thier face that they were serious when they said they didnt recognise me!

and yes.. true about people not noticing til you have lost close to 20kilos... I found this.. and honestly i was starting to feel like i was wasting my time..I couldnt see it and neither could anyone else.. then suddenly wham... nothing fits and people start commenting!
